A television program ran an episode based on the scenario of a wealthy business man whose wife only loved him because of his money. When their daughter, and only child, the love of her daddy’s life, was about eight years old the wife found out that her husband had a girl friend and was about to leave her. She also found out that he had sold his business and invested most of the assets in diamonds. Fearful of losing her husband's wealth she devised a plan where she would kill her husband, frame the girl friend and steal the diamonds.

So, she killed her husband and framed the girl friend. But when she went to get the diamond, they weren’t where she thought they would be. As the detectives questioned the different suspects they realized the girl friend actually cared more about the daughter than the mother did, and that the mother was only concerned about the diamonds. Believing that the mother was the killer, they set her up by leading her to believe the girl friend had the diamond. When the trap was sprung and the murderess was caught she vented her hostilities confessing that she had killed him, and then asked, “What happened to the diamonds?” It just so happened that the trap was sprung in the daughter’s recently redecorated bedroom. The detective pointed to the chandelier hanging in the center of the daughter’s bedroom. Her husband had taken the diamonds and incorporated them into the custom crafted chandelier that had been in plain view all the time.

God’s secret to anointing is much the same as the diamond chandelier. His wealth and power looms in front of the believer, and yet we spend our lives rummaging through the dust and dirt of carnal substances trying to find God’s Obvious Secret.
