I recently saw a British tv talent show, where a lady named Susan Boyle fronted an audience of 4,000 people, plus a panel of 3 judges.Susan is from Scotland, a spinster aged 47.[What that had to do with the talent contest is anyone's guess!}
She sang 'I Dreamed A Dream' from Les Miserables.

As soon as she sang, I felt very emotional because this lady has been given a very special gift! I would go as far to say, it is Divine!

The obvious problem was that she did not fit into the category of shallow acceptance,ie; plastic skinned, botoxed,straight,pearly white teeth, bleached hair,nor plucked eyebrows!Neither was her appearance [fashionable} But God, did she have a personality!!!!!!!!!

One of the judges,I felt was rude because she said to Susan; 'Everyone was against you".How could this judge possibly know what was going through the minds of 4,000 people?
Needless to say, Susan had a standing ovation, because of her talent!
I learned a valuable lesson by watching Susan's performance-she humbled everyone!
So many of us are apt to judge a person by their outward appearance, I admit I am one of those people!

However, having said that, I truly hope that Susan will emerge as I saw her today,ie; NORMAL.
I sincerely hope, as success is sure to grasp her talent, that she will not succumb to the shallow world of celebrity, that she will avoid cosmetic surgery, that she will not allow anyone to change her hair, pluck her eyebrows, or ask her to change her clothes!

Susan's appearance on tv.,was a real 'eye-opener for me. I thank her most sincerely for making me a better person, simply by listening to the voice of an Angel.

Watching Susan Boyle and hearing her sing with such a God-given talent was thrilling to me....My mother always told me "Don't judge a book by it's cover"...and that is so true. Susan has had a tremendous impact on everyone that heard her. Thanks so much for placing this article. GOD BLESS YOU.
