Few things excite me like wildflowers
I could stare at them for hours
Brilliant colors on velvety petals
Create a living -- moving tapestry.

Bouquets of bright colors
Of gladiolus and lilies
Scattered along the roadsides
Clusters of wild tulips, irises and orchids:
Like an ornamental broach on a scarf.

They allure your senses
To come hither and gaze
At red poppies, grape hyacinths,
And scarlet sage ---

You'd be amazed at the sheer charm
Of these often-fragrant blooms
A garden that requires no gardener:
But planted and watered in remote places
By the Master the Great I Am.

How nice it would be
To fly low in a plane
And view this bouquet from the air
Of a single color that lights up a meadow
Of marigolds, primrose and daffodils.

A walk through the woods
When blooms are in season
Reveal natures stunning bouquets:
Those hints of highlights along a country road
Sometimes accompanied by wild berries.

Its sheer romance alluring you
To inhale of these often-fragrant blooms
Of butterfly weeds, begonias, and lilies
Beckoning you to come hither.

Our eyes have only to behold
The abundant pleasures
Created by Our Heavenly Father
To enhance our daily living
Along the way of life's journey.

Psalm 65:9
Thou visitest the earth and waterest it:

Job 38:26-27
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

This poem stirs up happy feelings in me. I love God's creation, especially flowers. Very well written.

What a lovely painting you have penned here - I hope it inspires many weary souls to just go out and find hope in the beauty God provides us. It did for me...
