Trading Places
by Sylvia E. Wilson
I tried to imagine how different it would be,
If I were the Pastor,
from about 8:00 to 3:00.
I would rise in the morning,
fall down on my knees,
and pray…"Dear Heavenly Father…
Just Guide Me Lord, Please!"
Don't need any money, don’t want a big raise,
Just Guide Me Dear Father,
Direct All My Ways!
This path that I've taken, is long...never ending,
The Counseling, The Preaching,
The Praying!
and Befriending…
Not to mention the appointments,
that are Constantly Pending!
By Your Grace I will serve You,
each new day, and each new night,
Leading those from the darkness,
Into Your Blessed Light!
I have now come to realize…
that your place as… "The Pastor,"
Is a privilege, and a blessing
Granted by "The Master."
You have answered "The Calling"
You Are Blessed I can tell.
You have served The Lord Faithfully,
And Your Congregation Well!

Thank you for your note. I feel it is important to welcome and encourage new arrivals when discovered.
Occasionally I have found there are those who would take that opportunity to extend critical reviews to boost their own egos. And that can be crushing to a new arrival.
Allow me to say if you ever recieve a critical review that does not edify your intentions, feel free to delete your article and resubmit it. That will alleviate the bad review and they usually don't do it a second time.
The Lord has compelled me to intervene when I see that happening in the way that I am recommending to you. Because Faithwriters is meant to be a place of blessings, comfort and encouragement. It has surely been that to me.
Sylvia I have found that reading the writings of others is a great comfort and inspiration. And leaving critiques will enhance other's awareness of your presence on the site.
I'm glad you enjoyed my review of BeBe and CeCe. And of course what I meant to say on your critique was The LORD Bless You.
