When hunger calls
for providence ,I am thankful
When I feel thirsty
cool water to quench
When tiredness bids me stop
sleep and rest refreshes
These blessings, a grateful heart receives
There is, hunger after another
a hunger too deep for english words
thirst,not assuaged by flowing water
nothing of this world can satisfy
the longing of a soul after thee
Tis the Lord ,that bids come
drink from the cup of deep fellowship
eat to fill,the bread of life
soul soothing divine elixir
Oh,for that longing God desires to fill daily
his love,his favour to communicate
To the secret place,he gently draws
in exchange ,strength for strength
that the world may know
That we,his very offsprings
