A Word on Diligence

Be diligent, my friend for I have given you gifts to make profit with.

Ask me of things to come concerning my sons and concerning the works of mine hands command ye me.

Seek ye out of the book and read. None of these shall fall to the ground for my mouth has spoken them and my breath has gathered them. Yea, I will do them, for I have gathered them.

Search out wisdom and when you've found it, I shall give you a recompense.

Ask and it shall be given to thee.

Seek and you shall find.

Knock and it shall be opened unto you.

For everyone that asks receives, he that seeks finds and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.

Have not I said it? that I will do it. Why then do you doubt my power? cast not away your confidence which has a great recompense.

Listen to my voice and I will teach you wisdom. See a man that plans to build a house; wont he first count the cost lest he starts to build and then stops on the way and be laughed to scorn by people saying he started it but he's not able to finish it or what king going to make war against another king sits not down first and consults whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand? or else while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an ambassage, and desires conditions of peace. See a man diligent in his business. He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Do today what is meant for today for today you shall be with me in paradise but plan for the future. Cast your bread upon the waters and you shall find it after many days. As you sow, you shall reap. Selah.
