Righteousness is from the word right. In essence when you do the right things, youe are said to be righteous and when you are righteous you should expect promotion automatically.
Now searching the scriptures with th help of the Holy Spirit, i discovered that there are TWO parts to Righteousness:
1. Righteousness from God
2 Righteousness on our part

Righteousness From God
The righteousness from God that is neccessary for our promotion was handed to us FREE of charge when Jesus shed His blood over 2000 years ago for us on the cross of calvary. No wonder, the bible says in Rom 10:10 that " For with the heart man believes unto righteousness..." You become righteous when beleive in your heart and have confessed Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. God deals with us looking at the right of Jesus and not our own righteousness
With this "gift" from God, we have an express right to relate with a Righteous God.What a wonderful gift!.

Righteousness On Our Part
From humble understanding of the Word of God, i have come to understand that there is always a role He wants to play when we have taken the decision to follow Him.He Has His part which was all settled a long time ago ( over 2000 years ago) when Jesus signed and sealed the REdemption package with His Blood. That part gave us His Righteousness Free
Now on our part there is a righteousness consciousness which we need to have so that we can fully enjoy His many promises.
God orders our steps and if He must do this, He does it with instructions to us from time to time.If instructions are given to us, then it is our duty to obey these instructions because He knows what is right for us at every point in time. The more we obey these instructions the more right we become on our part.
God tld me sometimes ago to leave my paid job. He told me i was bigger than my employer. I neverv treally understood the message but i had to obey because when i obey, that is when i am righteoos and when i am rihgh, that is when i can thimnk of promotion.
Well, i left my daytime job and instructions came again on what is hould be doing. I must tell you ih vae never lacked for once since i heeded His instruction to leave my job.
my dear reader, righteousness is a "two-part thing". That of God which is settled already in Christ (if you are in Christ, you have it already) and that on our part- which requires our perfect obedience to His instructions from time to time.
The GOOD NEWS is that this "two-part thing" is there to give you and i great success in all we do.
