This joy of mine can’t be helped.
You’re so close You’re even felt.
The scent of You is all over me.
I smell of a soul that’s been set free.

I am free to worship in Truth
in song and word and acts like You.
Your voice is clear I can hear it.
Sings like the Sword of Your Spirit.

You make me glad that I’m repentant.
This is the joy of the obedient.
Your kindness led me to Your repentance
and You forgave me of all my sins.

More than a guest at Your table,
but a reborn child because You’re able.
You clothe me in glory, strength and wisdom
like silk and sable from Your kingdom.

This is all I have left to say:
Before I was afflicted I went astray.
But now Your word is my delight,
my hardest shield, my strongest might.
