Perilous Times

Perilous times are indeed here. We are called to know the times and walk in the Lord, shunning the evils around us and pressing into the kingdom with fear and trembling.


Jesus spoke about the end-time in the gospels and he actually gave us great insights as to what will unfold in this times. In Matthew 24:4-13 he talked about issues that are happening now; He predicted it and told us not to be troubled. He said this things are just the beginning of sorrows but that they that endure to the end shall be saved.


In 1 Tim 4:1-3 and in 2 Tim 3:1-5, Paul listed the traits and the characteristics of the end-time spirit and from this scriptures we see that the last days are indeed here and we see the spirit of this times penetrating the church and stealing away some of our members. Men have grown tired and weary of good works. The love of many have grown cold because they have been deluded by the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life.



Church! we need wake up and be more watchful, ever alert and ready to answer the kingdom call. This are the times we ought to pray without ceasing, always seeking the Lord's face; for the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. We need to be ready to go all the way with the Lord; not being rebellious to his tasks and nudges but obeying all his commands and instructions; for we are called to obey his instructions and to feed on them.


The fiery darts of the wicked are very much around and so we are called to put on the whole Armour of God that we may be able to resist the devil and withstand this evil day. Also we are admonished not to forget our fellowship with the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and our fellowship with our fellow christian brethren. We ought to be pressing to know more of Christ, the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable to his death; beholding his cross and becoming like him for as we behold his cross we are been reminded that there is beauty on the cross and that there is beauty in doing what God has called us to do - daily carrying our cross, following his foot steps and guarding ourselves from the errors and deception of this times.
