Marriage, that great institution visited and passed through without a course outline, final examination nor is there a commensurate certificate of performance

Perhaps during the course of STUDY there is CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT, which is very important to the students involved

No instruction manual from onset, nor do you get a brochure of knowing-what-to- expect, all that comes with this schooling is basic knowledge from hearing and seeing what goes on in the environment and that on a large scale is definitely not encouraging!

Maybe you might be blessed to have been to a few married/singles workshops and seminars in church, theory is one thing and PRACTICAL is definitely another!

What is needed? Divine Wisdom, more than earthly intellect every step of the way
Is there really "For better for worse"?

Like the marriage of the lamb? No! There is no marrying in Heaven!

All is to bring pleasure and companionship in this world, unto those involved in the relationship


How is the bed kept undefiled, with all the temptations of life and societal pressures that threaten always to crush that which is given to the TWO that becomes ONE, to be nurtured and presented always without blemish?

The book of Ephesians chapter 5 and others give definite instructions to one and the other, CONFIDE ONLY IN THE ONE WHO MADE THE FIRST UNION IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN
God spoke in Genesis, “For the purpose of the woman, the man shall leave father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh”-God’s MATHEMATICS, 1+1=1!

How do parties involved preserve the integrity within it?
How can one who for instance is, under continuous bombardment of fire despite the odds suffer long and push on
These questions arise because the home is under continual severe attack from various quarters in recent times more than any other time in history.
The fire comes from all sorts of forces: extended family, friends, work-pressure,societal, physical, financial and spiritual.

The commitment that it takes, the effort to persevere and preserve, the strength to fight all the odds?

Where do these come from in a situation where there is no encouragement and in some cases love?

How do you truly mean,"For better for worse" in pain and discouragement?

Someone once said that whoever is not matured in spirit, thinking, economically, emotionally or socially should not venture into this great institution because it ends up crushing such and disillusioning the one involved with them

I say that above all, SPIRITUAL maturity and God’s wisdom is needed in all things because once this is in place it triggers off all others to react in the positive then the two can always weather the storms together AS ONE, not one alone struggling to keep afloat in the stormy seas of marital-life because, all of the time there is no help from the one that should support to give added strength.

Are there stormy seas round about you?

Are there strings of struggles?

Get on your knees to stand tall to proclaim God's "For better for worse"

How well we handle what comes with this mysterious package gives pleasure or otherwise to the one whom we bow always before His throne
