The road is growing longer and longer
Between you, my past, and emptiness, my present.
As it lengthens my past is but a dream
And you are but a memory.
Shadow dim grows the dream
Yet vivid as a picture remains the memory,
The memory of you.
Never fading, never dying….
Even on to the future
It lives.
