Quiet Time

In my precious quiet time
God gives me words in perfect rhyme.
His Spirit guides my thoughts along
To write the verses of my song.

He can prompt your thoughts too
And tell you all that you should do.
So find a place and quietly sit
To be with God for a bit.

Be still in contemplative prayer
Holding your Saviour near and dear.
You will be filled with God's peace
His love for you will never cease.

In quiet moments humbly pray
For grace to face another day.
And when the day is all done
Thank God for the victory won.

And sleep the peaceful sleep all night
Know that with God everything is right.
Refreshed and in God's presence rise
His mighty purpose to advertise.
