Born Again

Oh what joy to be born again,
When we are grown women and men.
To renounce all evil and start anew
And escape the penalties we are due.

Oh what peace when we repent
And give our sins to the one God sent.
For believing in Him and professing it's so
Brings us to where we want to go.

Oh what jubilation will begin,
If we ask our Saviour in
To change our life and soften our heart
And walk in God's will from this new start.

So I say I'm sorry for the things I have done
I repent of every evil one.
Thank you Jesus, you died for me
So that I am forgiven and set free.

Come Holy Spirit my heart to fill
To guide and comfort and show God's will.
I ask to be your new child
Born again, to God reconciled.
