But a grain of salt,
To season just one heart.
So that Your name,
They may claim,
A brand new life to start.

Lord, let me be,
The zest for You,
You the zeal of my soul.
So that Your name,
I may claim,
Your passion as my goal.

Lord, let me be,
Seasoned with Your favor,
To win more souls for thee.
So that Your name,
We may claim,
How love has set us free.

Lord, let me be,
The clarity that glows,
At the break of day.
So others may see,
Your love for them,
Along life's way.

Lord, let me be,
The light that shines,
Within the world so dark.
So others may see,
Your love for me,
So bright . . . so stark.

Lord, let me be,
The beam of truth,
That radiates Your peace.
So others will see,
Your love for all,
Will in no way cease.
