Slender is the entrance,
firm and solid is the way.
Sturdy must be my steps,
If on the path I want to stay.

For slim are my chances,
that I will not sin today.
I know my soul’s a likely target,
For Satan to lure and sway.

My offenses might be slight,
but injure others as they may.
When my angry words and actions,
causes loving hearts to fray.

My defenses are often great,
when pride gets in my way.
And it is my own resistance,
that will make my soul decay.

My objectives may be clear,
but deception will only relay.
That my true intentions,
mislead those who I try to sway.

My life is an untold story,
that I live out each new day.
I must walk it cautiously,
lest I slip and fall away.
