A whisper came in the night
A voice turned to my account
A song trained my way once before
By the One who illuminates my path
And calls me home.

A soul cries out in need
A searcher longs for a beacon
Of understanding, of hope
Why is this my life?
What has brought me to this place
Of pain, despair, loneliness?

When this soul met mine
The walk had begun
His Way marked out
The attraction born.

Where do I go
Whom do I trust
What is the truth
Why is this my life?
The Breath from above was revealed
The Master’s voice was made clear
And the circle of love was formed

This soul begins to see
The eyes begin to open
The Promise was fulfilled with power
The Spirit rained on the believing
The Master’s voice was made clear
And the circle of love became strong.

This soul begins to hurt
I see this life
I see my life
I see why this is my life
I see I need to share this life
I see I need to turn away
And go toward the brilliance
The Master’s voice was made clear
And the bond of friendship emerged.

We walked the road together
This soul and mine
The Master’s voice as our standard
Shared struggles as our allies
Pain and anguish as our foe
And perseverance as our fuel.

This soul begins to know
Know what was done
Done long ago so we may live.
Done long ago to pay the price
The price we can never pay.

The Master’s voice was silenced
Only to be raised to the highest,
And the broken life pierced the heart
And saved the wretched soul.

So where do I go,
In whom do I trust,
What is my life now?
Can you lead me to the path,
The path that leads to Him?

The call is sure, my friend.
Love the Father, love the Son
By the Spirit will you love.
Love others, love yourself
Love, as He loves you.

We walk together now
The decision made
And a life given
To the Way.

To seek Him first
To seek others next
To give from yourself
What is best within you
What is born from the Spirit.

One to another
We live for each other
We yield to each other
We grow with each other.

So now you are here
Now it is clear
Why this is your life
Why His life is your life.

As you are born anew
As you take your first steps
Remember what was done
So that you may live
And fill others’ hearts with His love.

So set your gaze on the prize,
Fix your mind on the truth,
And lock your steps to the narrow road.
Fill your heart with the love,
Nourish your soul with the Spirit,
And go well now, my brother
And follow Him.
