Pulpit crimes are committed everyday
Many say things that are not of God--they speak to thousands
The pulpit pulls you in a ‘pit’ (whole) and
As a result many can’t get out because
They have an image before the people
Religion rules their lives and
They are caught in a ‘pit’
I see many televangelist caught in a pit
Either money has pulled them in a pit
Or power has pulled them in a pit
satan enjoys the pulpit—he can speak to thousands
The pulpit is a dangerous place
Many forget about the Grace of the Lord and
Allow the ministry to focus on them and not Jesus and
As a result they commit a pulpit crime by trying to take
Christ position; some televangelist call themselves ‘little gods’
And people enjoy this message yet they forget that satan also
Believes that he is a ‘god’—god of this world
I thank the Lord that He has kept me from the pulpit!

I thought it was going to be a preacher talking about the pit he fell into when he missed the target of the WORD, when he was tempted to give a public speech based on his own human efforts....
You have a good point. But you stopped at congratulating yourself only. It would be better to point out the "pits" and give "pointers" on how to avoid them.
