As infants we enter into this world possessing a level of innocence that makes us irresistibly lovable and adorable. However, lurking in the shadow of that beaming innocence is something called sin. And as we grow older, sin gradually works its way to the forefront to secure a more visible presence. Innocence fades away.

Some people dig deeper into sin at a faster rate because they make it their earthly mission to satisfy their fleshly desires. Such a mission works in direct opposition to Gods laws and his plans for our lives. Because of sinful indulgences many people never find real value in life. They conform to the evils of the world and become products of their circumstances and products of their surroundings. This in essence means that they become what they are exposed to instead of becoming who they are supposed to be. On the other hand there are those who seek to do the right things in life, but no one ever encouraged them to explore their God given talents. They are unaware that there is divine purpose connected to the gifts that God blesses us with. And yet still, we have those who are aware of their gifts, but the drudgeries of life have caused them to give up on their talents and dreams.

In order to discover divine purpose one must wake up from spiritual sleep and slumber. A choice must be made to reject sinful desires in order to conform to God's laws of holiness and righteousness. Please wake up to notice that there is a radical shifting in effect in the spiritual realm today. For a vast majority of people, sinfulness and turmoil of life are escalation out of control. But for those who are awake and alert, they have chosen to put sin behind them and they are busy working to find out how they can use their talents to help others. They are busy seeking out their divine purpose which will bring joy and true value to life.

Awakening

Lord, I'm asking you-

Who am I supposed to be?

Because of many choices that I have made,
I bypassed and gave up on many things that could have been from you to me.

Caught up in this world.
As a prisoner of secular slavery.

Negatively motivated and unchallenged,
I settle for dead end jobs,
Working for people who do not value me.

Looking for love and joy in all the wrong places,
I get involved with people and situations,
That are not good for me.

Constantly I move from one place to another,
I am even confused,
About where I am supposed to be.

Lord, I am ready for all of this to change.

I want to focus on you instead of striving to please me.
So I snatch my soul back from the world and turn it back over to thee.

I am finally waking up.
And I believe in your power, in your love, and the great gifts that you have put inside of me.

Show me how to use my talents for your glory.
Show me how to truly be happy.
