On Time God
Our church has a singing group that sings a song called “Our God is an On Time God” I learned this lesson not long ago. Let me tell you how I learned this.



Several years ago Sharon received some money from a class action suit. With that money we purchased a time share in Disney World in Florida. The first few years we went by ourselves and family. Then it hit us that we have been given a great blessing of going to a place that is called “The happiest place on earth”, a place most children are longing to go and we were not sharing it. So Sharon and I talked and we decided that we needed to take other people who normally do not get the chance to go to Disney.



This fall we took some good friends of ours to Disney. Now when we have gone in the past, I like to get up early put the kids in the van while they are still asleep and go for hours before they even stir. Of course we have driven it several times, so we do not stop much except for bathroom breaks, food and gas and a lot of times I try to do them all at once. My wife tells me I am a typical male, I only have the end goal in sight, Disney or bust.



Well this fall the trip was a lot different. I was told not even to leave my house till 8 o’clock. Then we had to make several stops before we even get on the freeway and some of them were Sharon and she knows how I hate that. Then we get down the road just a little bit and we find a Stucky’s so we stop and mess around for a while. Well I must have shown (because I did not say anything) my anxiety while we were getting back into the car because both ladies said something to me about relaxing, I was on vacation, and we had till Sunday to reach Disney. I just smiled and tried to relax because they were right, but it was hard. Needless to say the rest of the two days went like this and I just smiled and tried to relax. We normally get to Disney by 3 to 4 in the afternoon, depending on potty stops. Well this time it was after dark, a few minuets after 9 pm, but that is when God showed me He was in control all the way because He is an On Time God.



Disney has big nice arch way that you go under as you enter Disney property that has several of the Disney characters on it to show that you have made it. It is always a highlight for my family when we see the characters. This night the little girl that we took with us had been feeling bad most of the day with a runny nose and sore throat so she slept most of the day. As we were getting close we woke everybody up in anticipation of seeing the arches. Just as we turned the curve so we could see the arches, the fireworks started going off for one of the parks. So as we rounded the curve the fireworks were just above the arches welcoming us into Disney. The only thing I think that could possibly be better is what God has planed for us as we enter heaven because I can not describe this picture and of course we have no pictures. I cannot tell you what it did for everyone in the car, we were in awe and disbelief. It changed the whole out look of the little girl we had brought and the whole time we were there she was not sick again. When she saw the fireworks she sounded as if she was going to suck all the air out of the car, and then she cheered. It was awesome.



That is why God had us make all those stops. He had it timed down to the split second we turned that corner, only He could have done that. If we done it my way we would have missed the fireworks. We have been there over ten times and we have missed that every time. God knew the split second timing and worked it out perfectly. Sharon and I have taken the fireworks and other wonderful things that happened on the trip as signs from God that we are doing the right thing with the Disney timeshare. I have learned a great lesson.
