Born Champions are we one and all!


Chariots of fire impregnate my mind with two thoughts, one chariots of the Lord and the movie of the same name. Bold word pictures representing power and relentless fortitude to finish the race complete the vision.

Passing on the torch, as seen when an Olympic runner reaches a specific point in the race to the next runner; each person contributing their strength and ability to win the gold! A great team knows winning is a group effort supporting each other not only in their capability as a runner but emotionally pouring into them courage knowing together they shall win. It is profitable for all when you share your experience, knowledge, and wisdom to help another person grow for we never arrive at our destiny by ourselves.

Life’s journey is comparable in principle to the Olympic runner; a race in which there are pot holes in our path, mountains to climb, detours, challenges which require strength, courage, and much perseverance. Every avenue of life there are those who are willing to give an outstretch hand enabling you to reach the next plateau of understanding to reach your goal. On the other hand there are those who are very selfish being single minded only on reaching their own goal no matter what the cost is to another bearing no signs of integrity or strength of character! One has the opportunity each day to choose which type of person you want to be marked by the attitude of your own heart!

I know personally, there has been those who’s life has touched mine, without their encouragement, wisdom, probably both would not have arrived from point A to B. I believe it was a divine appointment arranged by God that our lives crossed at that particular time. In business where I did not have the experience or knowledge to perform a task a women explained the principle of the equation. This information provided me the opportunity I needed in my career to eventually climb up the latter of success into a better position in the company. Being grateful to those who have sowed into my life I have always done the same for others.

Instilled in our Spirit are dreams, visions, and a gift special ability in some field such as being able to fix anything with one’s hands. An ear for music that one can listen plays that which one has not been taught to play. An artistic gifts that you can paint or sculpt without instruction. One who is a natural mathematician skilled to solve gigantic problems. These are I believe God given gifts with training become what we call genius’.

Gifted ones inspire others to want to become just like them. If one is truly blessed such a person will come along side with encouraging words, sharing their strengths to embellish your weak areas. Such as a mentor or teacher investing their time in someone else they see if gifted in a particular area.

As a musician and writer having heard someone play a classical piece of music would work very hard to learn that particular music. As a child I would go to a movie and listen to the score and come home and play the music. I could not afford to study music until my children were grown. I was blessed to play some of my favorites.

I have found I enjoy writing verse or stories as well as music. I have read someone’s words written on a page, which had touched my heart or imagination, so much I was compelled to write. I would say, that they are a very gifted writer to inspire another in this manner! Seasoned writers have taught me much by example of their written work. There have been times when they have taken the time to sent me examples on how to hone my own craft which I am most grateful.

Gifts of love, I call it, when one freely gives information, a skill useful tool to enhance someone else’s gift. This gift of love will many times come back to you as you implant it into someone else, bread upon the water, if I may.

May I encourage each one to finish your course on life’s journey in splendor, knowing words do change lives. May we be the one’s to change our world for the better enriching other’s that cross our path. In so doing we shall leave our imprint behind filled with beauty and love!
