There is great emphasis by many on the kingdom
For social and political transformation but
This has resulted in the neglected of the kingdom
As spiritual and eschatological
The problem here is that when you only look at the kingdom
As social and political transformation you face
The danger of losing your passion for His return
You will discover that the ‘here and now’ perspective
Will be more important than the ‘eschatological perspective’
The balance must be right or you might find yourself
Going down the wrong road

We know that the Jews expected a social and a political kingdom
They did not get that,
What they did get was the Son of God who went out of His way
To show them the reality of the kingdom of God and to show them that His Kingdom is not of this world (John 8:23; 18:36)
Today many who preach the kingdom message, as found in the ‘emerging church’ and the ‘dominion mandate’ concept
Have know passion for Heaven


I have seen that when things go well with men of God
They really do not want Him to return
Because for many, Jesus can spoil their fun and riches...
