The overwhelming sadness that lurks within, fighting to be released
But it cannot be seen by those around because of perceived weakness.
Strength built on long standing hardship, striving for excellence
A world view so different within to lose it all with sadness.
Such a lonely dark place, no one understands except God but because his hand owns fate
There can be no prayer?

A blackness over the heart, so deperately seeking light through a
Complete blackness thicker than a writers ink.
The heart pumps blood, but it only flows from organ to organ to maintain
That existence among people that smile and laugh.
They cannot see that darkness for the façade present like opaque glass.
How can
They know unless explained?

Tears that only flow when drugged to mindlessness, and unaware except
When the dawn of another day begins and the sadness creeps like a theif
Laughing at the deception that dawn brings.
Clarity of dreams revealed and sights that can never be with memories
Revisited to cause the heart to pound and ache again.
Emptiness so vast, so great that should not the eyes
Appear bottomless such as a pit?

Tears that should be traced down the cheeks, falling, trailing
Along the jawline, saltiness slipping past the lips;
Parted ,inhaling air with heaves, attempting to catch that one
Elusive breath.
The heart pounding, sickness queasing through the stomach,
Nausea rising to the throat, gagging softly
But why do the tears not fall as they should and allow
That overwhelming darkness to cause such pain?

Loss so overwhelming, a great emptiness that does not allow
Any person to slip behind the façade.
Built to show that tower of strength created to assure
Those there is life.
Why did it have to go with you to whatever
Place you went?
Are the roses in Heaven without a gardner that a
Precious rose was lifted to bloom there?
Leaving others, a precious fact of life, going to that light
Beyond the stars and sun, to bloom in anothers garden.
Leaving questions and no answers, mysteries with no answers
And darkenss and sadness dwelling?
