“Robby!” His mother called, “time for school.” Robby did not want to stop playing his video game, “Awww Mom, I don’t want to go to school today.” But Robbie’s mom made him go to school anyway saying, “You need to go to school to learn to read and write and become smart.”

Robby was not happy, he left for school, but he was grumbling all the way. On the way to school, he saw a police car racing by with the lights flashing. “Man, I wish I could be a police man, and go zooming by like that,” Thought Robby. “I know,” he thought, “I’ll runaway from school, no won will know. I don’t need school, I’m smart enough.”


So Robby ran away from his school, he ran farther and farther away. “Ahhh freedom,” Robby said to himself. He was walking down the street, looking into the window at the toy store, “boy I wish I could have that nice toy, but I just don’t have enough money,” Robby thought to himself. So he left the store and went on his carefree way, happy that he did not have to go to school.

Robby kept on walking, but as he came around the corner …

Robby saw a man bent over a large garbage can, he was doing something in the garbage can, but Robby could not see what it was. Then the man turned around and Robby could see that the man was eating the garbage from out of the garbage can. He was eating the stinking grouse food that people through away. This mans clothing were ripped and stinking, he was dirty, and just a mess.

Robby asked the man, “Why do you eat that garbage, why don’t you go buy your food at the store like a normal person?” The man tuned to Robby and said, “I did not go to school, and I never learned how to read or write. With out being able to read or write I could not get a job, and you need a job to make money to buy food. This is the only food I can eat, or I will starve. Do you want some, little boy? He took some grouse food, brushed off a worm, and handed it to Robby.


Robby was scarred, he did not want to grow up, and end up eating garbage. So Robby ran, and ran, and ran, he ran all the way to school. Robby stayed in school, he learned how to read, and write, do math, and all kinds of neat stuff. Robby also learned that school can be fun.

Robby finished school, he had all good marks, he studied hard, and after school, he went to a special school to learn how to become a police. Robby grew up to become a police, and saved many peoples lives, and became a hero. All because Robby loved to go to school, learn, and become smart.

Robby found out that going to school is important if you want a job later on. He learned to make school fun, and liked going to school. And when Robby was older he ended up saving a child life. That child grew up to be a big leader, and brought many people to Jesus.
