WIND AT MY BACK-HEAVEN IN MY VIEW

With wind at my back and heaven in my view;
I need you Sweet Jesus to carry me through.
The Dark One is chasing me; he is gaining fast.
I can’t say how much longer I’m gonna last.

Since the day of my rebirth, he has focused on my soul.
He is tempting me in hopes that I’ll lose control.
I’ve come to you for shelter from harm.
Each time before it has worked like a charm.

With the wind at my back and heaven in my view;
I had no place to run to, so once again I’ve come to you.
This temptation caught my blind side; must stay alert.
If I keep slippin’ I’ll fall and my soul will get hurt.

With the wind at my back, I fell down to my knees.
Help me Lord Jesus; your child is in need.
As I cried to my Savior, His Spirit came through.
Temptation’s now at my back and heaven’s in my view.
