Kids & Parenting
Our children, are a blessing from the Lord. The bible tells us “Train up a child in the way it should go so that when they are old it does not depart.” What if our actions, and the way we live each day, and the things that we say or do, sets the stage, for the example, we will set for our children? Our homes are the stage, and we as parents, set the show, of the way, our kids will behave. Kids themselves will remind you, of the things that they have heard you say, or discuss while in their presence. Or even the way you interacted, with the ones in your household or the ones, you speak to day to day. It is very important that our beliefs as parents, are in line with the behaviors, we display. That is why, Christ tells us, when we are in Him, “put off the old man and put on the new man.” We are responsible, for the actions of our children. The outside world can see, our beliefs when they interact with our children, sisters. As you know it, if we allow bad influences, and situations, into our own lives. This too will happen in the lives of our children. We must not be afraid, to teach our children, what we expect of them. We should be able to show them, by subjecting ourselves to Jesus, in full submition. Submitting to the ways God has called us to live, in Christ Jesus. We must remember our children, are not our peers. They are our children, and we should not lower our standards of parenting to meet them on their levels. We must stand fast in our convictions, and be mirrors to our children that reflect Jesus. As sisters we must also be parents to each others children and reflect Christ, at Worship Services, each time the ‘Body of Christ’ meets. Our children set the stage for their generation, of God bringing others into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This also sets them up, for strong leadership roles, as they grow. By giving them a solid foundation. We set the stage, for the men, and women of God, we expect them to grow up to be. We must not be Christian just for show but by display of who we really are as individuals. We must remember that our influence, our beliefs, and our actions. Should be who we really are. Or we could be setting them up, for failure if we don’t. (May God bless you as you grow in Him.)
