Little girl with Almond Eyes,
how precious is your smile.
Fed and warmed, and laughing,
....all becomes worthwhile.

Another child is angry.
He glares with pain filled eyes.
Spurning every kindness.
Consumed by fear and lies.

Help me Lord,
to find a way,
for him to feel Your touch.
So young, so crushed, so hurting.
Needing You so much.

Over in the corner,
I watch young mothers mingle.
Children bearing children.
Broken, poor and single.

Bless these hands of service,
Bless this heart of prayer,
that even in the darkest place,
Joy and Hope are there.

The little girl, with Almond eyes.
Your child, my child to Love.
Laughing golden giggles,
Treasured moment,
from above.
