Cinquains


The bride
stands quietly
gazing through the window
pane thinking in a moment I
will wed.

In thought
remembering
how they first met, a smile
appeared thinking he changed my life
that day.

Just a
moment in time
that’s all it took to change
two lives into one your heart and
mine, love.

Today
I shall walk down
the isle on my Father’s
arm and become your wife, beloved
of mine.

A little
girls dream come
true. Fairy tale princess,
a young maiden’s dreams fulfilled
in you.

Soon the
organ shall play
the processional we
shall walk down the isle exchanging
pledges.

The door
opened turning
she saw a tear in her Father’s eye…
it is time daughter,
she smiled.
