Cinquains


Come! My
pretty, I have
a brilliant idea.
Let’s pretend we are going to
a ball.

We can
borrow Mother’s
dresses, and makeup. If
we are lucky perhaps some
fine shoes.

We can
fix each other’s
hair in the latest style.
Would you like curls or an upsweep,
my dear ?


Makeup
one must know how
to carefully
apply it. One does not want to look like
a clown!

Oh Yes!
Lipstick is a
must don’t you think my dear?
A fire engine red perhaps.
My Yes!

Perfume
a ladies best
friend to intoxicate
Moma says. Let’s find some pretty
Cool hats.

How do
we look now my
bestest friend? Don’t
we look just perfectly grand for the ball!
Let’s go!
