T’was the time before Christmas became a retailers day,
Before Reindeers could pull a huge Santa and sleigh.
Jesus was born unto us all this season
With Salvation which would show this was the reason
No malls or big crowds or credit cards used
Just a stable with shepherds and maybe a mule
Such an humble beginning for one so great
With this task even Santa can’t debate
It’s not about gifts, or toys or icicle lights
It’s about the one who gives us life
Come let us worship Him now while we can
Rejoice in the greatest gift known to man.
