Dying

My last breath left me, death's presence entered the room. Grabbing me with his cold hands, trying to take me to his tomb.

Then the Master entered, He said, "Death you have no right!" Old man death walked up to Him, preparing for a fight.

He told death, "To let me go! No fighting will be done," He said, "When He died on the cross, He battled death and won."

"All her sins are covered, nothing left to pay, death was defeated, you can't take her away!"

Death brought me to His open arms, He held me to His heart. He whispered in my ear, "To heaven we'll now depart."

We came to the gates of glory, such a beautiful sight. On to a golden city, where Jesus was the light.

Mansions filled with loved ones, a reunion without a tear. Jesus paid the ticket, all but death is invited here.
