We find Jesus teaches in Matthew Ch 10:37, if you have more love for your mother and father, you’re not worth of being his. Should we love or sons or daughters, mother-in-law or father-in-law move than Him, we are not his. Love for yourself or money, or political stand, we are not worth of being his. Jesus talked about give up all the things of this world and even your love of self for Him.

So, how many of us are really ready to pick up the cross of sacrifice? For me, I struggle every day looking for peace within my sprit and flesh, which is constantly at war with each other. Someone once told me, that happiness is only a string of events. But working for the betterment of mankind brings joy everyday.

Ask yourself, to obtain a peaceful heart do you need to work hard? What can you do to stop working so hard for peace in your life? I’ve found living for Jesus, through acts of kindness for others. Is pleasing to the Father and brings joy and peace to my sprit.

For years, many people make new years resolutions to lose weight or set new goals for business. Sure, these things make sense. However, start this New Year; working on your sprit and look to Jesus for help to ensure your walk is upright. For most us, lifestyle changes are in season. Not only eating better and exercising, are focused activates. Let’s not forget our spiritual lifestyle, by denying our fleshly tendency to live for self. Make a commit today that next year you plan to live for others in ways that increase the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus and our Father God.
