The burden of sin
So, so heavy
unbearable weight within
One You would not envy
So easily it trips
Causing you to stumble.
It ruins all fellowship
makes you fumble and struggle

Away with this filthy rag!
Causing separation from God;
Destroy that woeful bag;
replace it with redemptive word.

Throw the can of worm into the bin.
Causing condemnation and contamination
of me, kit and kin.
Come to rob us of salvation.

It deforms, tempts to bring demise,
Serves Pride of life, lust of the flesh ,
Says, “Be lost with the lust of the eyes,
And, Be Conform to the world, be enmeshed.”

It trades life for sickness of soul;
Shuts you up in the domain of doom.
Deceives you that you are in control
Feeding you with the bread of gloom.

And when you dare to come out
Alas! the key is thrown away;
And you battle with guilt and doubt,
Unless you turn to Jesus- the Way.
