There are nine fruit of the spirit as I can recall
And God wants us to have them all;
For, love should be the expression of the world
Shown by every man, woman, boy and girl.
You should have joy in all situations
By praising God without hesitation.
You should seek peace in all that you do;
For, if you seek peace, it will surely find you.
Longsuffering is just a part of life,
And we should welcome a little pain and strife
Because without rain, we couldn't appreciate the sun,
And without mistakes, we couldn't learn from the wrong we've done.
Gentleness is a characteristic we should all seek
By raising the fallen and helping the weak.
Goodness is required regardless of circumstances
Because it increases all of our chances
Of receiving goodness in return from others
Because we've shown goodness to our sisters and brothers.
Faith without work is dead,
But you can never let it be said
That you can accomplish one single thing
Without the results that faith brings.
Meekness is going through without complaints
And doing and going even when you don't receive thanks.
Temperance is being careful of what you say
And of the things you do when Satan gets in your way.
These are all of the fruit the spirit introduced to you.
Now that you know, you know what to do.
