I take delight in you my children, in your joy and your daily affairs. I delight in your pleasures when they are according to my will and design.

I smile when you smile and laugh when you laugh. I want you to be happy but not insensible – to be joyful but not irreverent – to laugh but not be scornful. I want you to delight in me and see in me all your joys.

Your creativity reflects my glory. I delight in you when you make the most of the things I give you and the gifts and talents I place within you. In your work you show your love and gratitude to me. It is in your work that you show my glory and I shine through you.

It is not just when you speak. You may talk but talk can be cheap. It can be meaningless if it does not come from your heart and if it does not precede work. It is through your work that you become fulfilled as a person and show yourself most like me. It is in and through your work that you show my glory.

Work is using your hands, your feet, your mind your thoughts – your very being – to accomplish my purpose and the desires that I place within you. Work will bless you and cause you to prosper – not money. Work is the assignment I have given to you: that you should work in my Kingdom to establish it, that I might be glorified.
