My family has a forum where we "meet" daily. As usual, I started to type my news. I wrote about how my son had taught himself to play the guitar and drums and had built a brace to hold his harmonica, which allowed him to play various instruments at the same time. I described him as Dick Van Dyke.

After submitting, I went back to read my entry. The words read, "He insists on being !*#! Van Dyke".

I added, "I know the last entry reads that I was cursing Dick Van Dyke but I would never blaspheme his name. I don't know what happened but I meant to write DICK Van Dyke!"

I read this entry and noticed that each time, the word Dick would be replaced by symbols. That's when I realized that maybe there was a block that wouldn't allow certain words.

This game with the computer went on as I decided to test this out. I typed, "Dick! Dick! Dick!" and hit enter, just knowing that the symbols would NOT appear.

To my AND my family's horror, my entry read as "Dick! !#*! Dick!" Since the last entry is always shown at the top of the forum page, my family was greeted by this enlightening message from their big sister whom they think is a saint!
