…So tell me what it was like, the announcement?

“Well it was definitely different than all the times before—you know—when I have been here in the past. I pretty much get dispatched when something wicked, bad is going on and thousands need to be taken care of at a time, so this was definitely a new experience for me! Much like this interview, as far as I know, on record, this is the first interview of its kind, right?”

“Yes, it is. And I am so happy, no make that ecstatic, that you were able to meet with me. Let me get my list of questions out here, that way I don't miss any of the important events I want to ask you about. Ah, here it is.” The reporter said pulling out a canary yellow note pad, and skimming over the notes he said, “Right, OK, so you get dispatched to come see one person this time, what exactly was said to you before you left, and how did you feel?”

“How did I feel?” the celebrity repeated. “I felt pretty much like always. I mean there is this rush you get when on a particular assignment, especially, when the Boss thinks that you are made for the job. I mean what better type of satisfaction is there? You know?”

The reporter prompted, “And what was it like at HQ that day?”

“Well…you know, everyone there has their own job, a part to play in how things are run in the main office. It is pretty orchestrated, and runs like clockwork. SO you know something big is going down when you get a special assignment. But I guess you want some details?”

“If you can, that would be great!”

“Let’s see. I was called in and given a message that urgently needed dispatched. I was supposed to meet Zack while he was at work and I only had a brief window of time that he was going to be at the right place at the right time. So I left immediately.”

“Did you encounter any resistance on your trip?”

“No…Well, come to think of it, well I think resistance isn’t the right word. I did encounter some curiosity from the opposition about the trip.”

“Really? I’ve never heard that part of the story before…”

“Like I was saying, they were curious. Usually the opposition is the reason that I and my buddies are dispatched in the first place. I mean they really couldn’t interfere with what I was going to do—well they could try, but in the end they always lose. One of them did try to engage me in conversation, but I just ignored him, like usual, and went on with my business.”

“So once you got to the meeting place, did you have to wait long before Zack showed up?”

“No, Zack had one of those jobs that always has to be done, you know like a firefighter or a police officer. I knew exactly when he was going to arrive. When I got there I waited for a bit before I let him know I was there. I just watched him, but I also did not want to miss my opportunity. You see, part of Zack’s job meant that he had to do his work completely alone. You know, like those researchers who have to go into a clean-room environment? But I also knew that he had limited time to perform his duties, so once he got things going I got his attention.”

“I bet he was surprised!”

“Actually, you would think so, but not old Zack, he pretty much took it in stride. I could tell that he was very concerned that I was there, but, no, I can’t really say that he was surprised or frightened. I would say I was more surprise than he was!”

“What do you mean? I would think by this point in your life that you have pretty much seen, well…Everything!”

“I’m not that old! But, you are right I have seen a lot of history, but that day Zack surprised me. You see; when I usually deliver messages for the Boss, people usually get upset, or very serious, but not Zack. I think he must have been in shock at seeing me there that day; because he didn’t believe me!”

“Why not?”

“I am not sure, I mean, he knew that I was who I said I was. And he knew that my message was authentic! But, the news really did come as a shock to him! I mean, if I had been in his shoes I would have, probably, thought it was impossible as well. I just don’t think that I would have had the guts to tell someone one like me, that they were nuts! You know?”

“OK, so let me get this all strait. You get dispatched to tell Zack some important news, you go tell him, and he thinks you’re crazy?”

“Exactly.”

“Wow! How did you convince him?”

“Persuasion. You see I had some leeway from the Boss on how to deal with operatives that need a little help in the belief department, if you get my drift? By the time I got done with Zack that day, he was pretty much speechless for a while. As a matter of fact it wasn’t until he got the job done that he said much of anything to anyone!” The celebrity chuckled.

“So what about his family and friends, were they mystified by his odd behavior?”

“No, I was pretty impressed with how they handled the whole thing. Even his wife took the news in stride and became a partner in the overall plan that the Boss had worked out. All in all, it really went off without a hitch, once we got Zack on board.”

Looking into the camera the reported says, “Well thanks again for granting us this series of interviews. Chuck, this is Rodney Jameson reporting live from the temple mound in Jerusalem, Israel with guest Gabriel Archangel from on High. Good Night!

“We’re all clear!” the cameraman barked.

“I want to thank you again for giving the world this glimpse into your life.”

“Well, Rodney, It was not really my life that I wanted to highlight. The Boss wants everyone on Earth to know that Jesus really did come to Earth to save them all. I only hope that I was able to positively contribute to His story.”

“I think you did. When you see the Big Guy next tell Him I said hello!”

“Rodney, tell Him yourself!” Gabriel said those words and vanished…



“It was those last words Gabe said to me that really hit me hard. Since that day, I have spoken to Him daily, no, hourly! I had been so busy reporting the Good News that I had not accepted the Gift for myself. That interview was definitely the turning point of my life! I’ve never looked back!”

“Rodney, I want to thank you for telling me the story. I am sure that it will fit perfectly in my new book about the works of Angels in the lives of people.” The young author said to the old reporter.

“Your welcome. I hope your book is a great success! All for the Glory of God!”

“That is my plan.” She said as she turned to leave. “Hey, Rodney, When you are talking with the Boss, let him know that I…”

“Sheryl, tell Him yourself!”

Sheryl smiled, “I will. I will.”
