Encouragement

This morning God caught my attention, in the words spoken by Mother Teresa:

‘You don’t know that Jesus is all that you need, until Jesus is all that you have…………..’

The Blessing of Truth, and one that moves my heart to share ‘In Him’.

When I first came to America, a lifetime ago, it was on the promise of a new and better life.
I left my home and my family for a Cinderella story that quickly transformed into Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde,and my children and I spent some time living in a shelter.
The story gets worse, and worse, and worse. Worst of all I did not know Jesus in those days.

I thought about dying, as a reprieve from life, but then He introduced Himself.

It took a while to trust Him, and a long time to grow a thankful heart. There have been some major setbacks, and plenty of lost ground, yet He continues to draw me in………….and I adore Him.

He has become my life.

Once I had money, but it has long since dried up, and our life is lived within very humble means, although my children say we are rich in heart.
We say,’ I love you.’, out loud and daily, and we mean it.

I work very long hours, but the nature of my profession is such that I give from the heart, as He gives to me, and in that I am so very Blessed.
It would have to be said that in all things I strive to give from the heart. I know of no other way .
Sometimes it can lead to hurt, but the self reproach when I consider His suffering causes far greater pain.
I love Him, and He gave His Life for me.

I have a standing joke with my oldest child, now 27 ,and a parent himself, that my headstone will read,
‘She always tried, but never got very far.’
Here’s the thing, I really don’t mind how I am viewed by the world…………….only by Him.

At times, I grow very weary in my role as single mom, and shadows of the past threaten depression.
Holidays present both an emotional and financial struggle for so many.

Again this year, I started to fall……………….

but He tells me, ’Here I am. Love me, as I Love you, and I will take care of everything.'

and He will.

From Him, through me, to you, sharing the most precious of gifts, and all that we ever need.

Him.

He Loves You.
