What significant identification
Do you have with Jesus Christ
In His death and resurrection
In the Way He lived His life.

Do you withhold His name so precious
That when it falls from your lips
It’s spoken in reverential manner
And not as in the movie clips.

When accosted by a stranger
To lend a helping hand
Do you quickly dismiss the matter
And return to things at hand.

In the evening hour
When it’s time to rest
When your heads upon the pillow
And your hands upon your chest.

Do you think of thy days full business
And all that transpired there
Do you stop and take a moment
To thank the Lord in prayer.

To put it plainly to you, brother
Your identification will be bliss
If you can converse with your Maker
You’ll never feed loneliness.
