The King is Coming

On a starry night in Bethlehem
T’was born a tiny King
The angels sang, the shepherds came
To witness this wondrous thing

This King lived a life spotless of sin
But died a criminal’s death
Then He asked His Father to forgive us
With his final breath

The mighty King arose the third day
Just as He’d foretold
He ascended high into the heavens
Now he walks on streets of gold

The King said He was coming back
At a time when no-one knows
Imagine Him coming at Christmas time!
When hearts are all aglow

Would it not be an awesome sight?
Amongst the lights of Noel
To see our King coming on a cloud
To earth we’d say “farewell”….

Think about the gift of King Jesus
From a babe in a manger
The priceless gift the Father gave - in Him:
A Savior and heart-changer

The King is coming! The King is coming!
We'd better get ready today!
It may not be at Christmas time
But He’s coming anyway…….
