There is burden and concern,
In my heart for the people of my generation,
Whose demand has always been like that of the Israelites,
“Give us a king” and without intention of asking further,
To ascertain if at all such a request for a king
Will fulfill the purpose of the “King of kings”
Who holds their life in the hollow of his hands.

Man should be ashamed to run his own life,
The moment he finds out there is a God.
But this has never been the case with many people,
Who neglected God and go ahead,
In search of the necessities of life.
Giving God little or no attention in the process,
Without Him, efforts of men are in futility.

The time has come for everyone to seek God,
Not because of what they want to get by so doing,
But for who God is, and with eternity in their minds.
It is high time for everyone to also know that God,
Is greater than culture and learns to act at His dictate,
With the preparedness to take a step at a time,
In accordance to His injunctions as we seek our dare need
