I sat and watched the starlit sky.
Never knowing, the time was lost.
The night it slowly, slipped on by.
The starlite sparkled, on blades of frost.

The wind it whispered, in my ear.
Things of greatness, I couldn't tell.
The glorious heavens, they seemed so near.
The night had cast, a magical spell.

I flew upon the wings of wind.
And crossed the galaxy, in a flash.
With the stars, I felt akin.
The dazzling brightness of Orion's sash.

I wished upon a shooting star.
As a child, it seemed to me
The place of earth, it seemed so far.
This was a dream, it had to be.

As I awoke, I was in my chair.
On the porch, of my domain.
I never noticed, my silver hair.
My aged skin, my walking can.

I felt as young, as if just born.
The thought of heaven, crossed my mind.
As young and helpless, as a sheep just shorn.

I knew only then, I'd been given a sign!
