WHAT AM I?
I look up at your macro-skies
Dark and enormous [are they]
Your hand-made sky-jewellery
Moon and stars mounted in their settings

Infants gurgle your name
Toddlers babble your majesty*
Adults reference you
Even the atheist call your name

Then I look at my micro-self
Why do you bother with me?
Why take a second look at me?
What am I?

Yet you made me inferior only to yourself
You crowned me with glory and honour**
I’m not inferior to anyone
Neither is anyone inferior to me

All you made in the universe serve me
The sun, moon, waters and weather
Animals, birds and trees-all for my good
My Father, what am I?

YOU ARE WONDERFUL INDEED
AND I LOVE YOU…
