Time Unbroken

Have you given God a share of time, unbroken
of the time, that he has given unto you
Have you listened to all the words he has spoken
giving him the reverence that he is due

Have prayers and meditations been forthcoming
as the blessings he sent you, from above
Has his peace and joy left your heart humming
have you returned, his unrelenting love

Have you walked close by his side, never straying
as you’ve traveled on this life’s road
Have you offered him thanks when you’re praying
for life’s daily gifts, he has bestowed

Do you accept all of God’s promises, in the Bible
knowing that each, applies unto you
By reading you know, God is faithful and reliable
and wise enough, to lead you through

The Lord deserves special time, time that’s unbroken
time devoted to him and his work
Giving him praise that’s heartfelt, not merely a token
the joy you’ll receive is an added perk
