In every single lie, that you get busted,
shall joy be lost, for becoming mistrusted.
For when you're caught, in the midst of lies,
shall you be watched, with suspicious eyes.
Because for dishonesty, trust will it cost,
and a sense of faith in you, will be lost.
So it is wise, that your tongue control,
for a wicked one does, stain the soul.
Because regret appears, when you're caught,
for against yourself, shame you've brought.
Because there is no lie, that is not a sin,
and once told, battles against truth, do begin.
And very determined it is, to repair the wrong,
for never in its midst, will lies belong.
Because lies really only, do disrupt,
for the big picture, becomes corrupt.
So best it is, to keep your words real,
or troubles you'll face, trying to conceal.
And honesty indeed, is the best policy,
for the truth really will, keep you free.
