A Royal Princess 11/3/08

Lord, let me tune in to You today,
Listening and learning from all You say.
Let my target be Your perfect heart,
Beginning now, right from the start.

I get up and come to you from my bed,
First to You I am always led.
Let no other thing get in my way
As I know how I must start my day.

To my Heavenly Father I must
Ever come. For His presence I lust
As the one thing I must always have,
And for this I am eternally glad.

I come to pay homage to Jesus Christ,
Honor Him and acknowledge my rights
As a royal princess, child of God,
Sitting at His throne, always awed.

No longer a poor beggar on the streets,
It's the Holy God each day I meet,
Who's brought me to His royal family,
One day in heaven will be crowning me.

But for now I'm a pilgrim on this earth,
Every morning giving birth
To a new day of praises and glory
To my Jesus Who authored the story.
