Prayer is the most powerful weapon any person can yield. Its power is greater than any of man's finances, intelligence, education, politics, or social standing. Nothing fashioned by man in the natural can match the power of prayer that works in the supernatural. Jesus said, "If you believe, you will receive what you ask for in prayer" (Matthew 11:22).

The letter of James proclaims, "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Prayer is the pipeline through which all the riches of God can flow into the heart of man and its power is available to all that have come to His Son Jesus without regard.

Why then do our lives often not reflect the results that Jesus and The Word say prayer can deliver? If prayer can bring us the unconditional love of God why are we sometimes so empty of love? If prayer can put us within the indescribable peace of God why are we so often afraid? If prayer can bring whatever we ask for
why are our minds filled with anxiety and our spirits torn by turmoil? If the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective why do we so often act like we don't believe it and live like we can't receive it? There are many reasons our prayers don't get answered. Three of those reasons are lack of holiness, lack of faith and lack of patience. I believe it is our lack of patience that hinders us the most. We must remember it is through faith and patience that we inherit God's promises, (Heb 6:12).

Prayer:
God, help me to believe that I will receive what I ask for in prayer by faith. Give me the patience I need to wait for your precious promises to come to pass in my life. Help me to live a life pleasing in your sight that my prayers be not hindered. In Jesus's Name. Amen.
