When you look into the mirror what do you see?
Do you see a stranger or the person you wanted to be?
Silence surrounds you, Thoughts begin to race
You concentrate on the expression that shows up on your face

Harsh words all around causing a low self esteem
Always wondering what others perceive
When all that really matters is how you truly feel
Be strong knowing you are a big deal

Everyone has something special within them
Not knowing what it is can be frightening
Having the passion to figure it out is what’s enlightening
Don’t be afraid to find and reveal your gem

For the world is waiting for you to come around
So quit showing fear to the crowd
Be strong, resilient, and proud
For you are special, now say it aloud
