KEEPING THE GATE CLOSED:
=================================
In prayer today, I was asking for the manifestation of something the Lord had shown me approximately four years ago that was to come to pass in my life. I had seen partial manifestation and now was asking for it all to come into reality.

The Lord responded to me and said, “You have to be able to see it in the spirit realm before it can come into the earthly realm. You also have to believe what you see and accept the truth of it. The truth cannot lie (the Holy Spirit is the Truth, and is no lie 1 John 1:27).
For example, if a person who is in debt says, I will never be out of debt, he will see himself in bondage. Because I created man in My own image, he has the ability to imagine and see those things that be not as though they are (Roms.4:17). I saw the light before it was and called it forth” (Gen.1:3).

As the Lord expounded on this, He brought the Scripture to me from Proverbs 23:7 that says, “As he (anyone) thinks in his heart, so is he.” I understood what was being said here in this Scripture because I had already taken the time to do research on it a long time ago. The Hebrew word for thinks is sha’ar (shaw-ar’) and it means, “to act as gate (door) keeper. An opening.” Our mind is the gatekeeper to our soul and spirit and is to guard against allowing wrong thoughts to enter in. This is because wrong thoughts can lodge in our hearts and poison our whole spiritual system. That is, our spirit, soul and body.

Jesus said, “Take no thought, saying...(what are we going to eat or drink or wear).” It is to speak in unbelief when Jesus said, “Seek you first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you” (Matt.6:33). He promised to take care of us. He is our Provider. So, keep guard over the gate of your mind to make sure you’ve left no opening and it’s closed. This is why Eph.4:27 says, “Neither give place (opening) to the devil.” Keep the gate closed by making sure your thoughts are righteous and pure (Phil.4:8).

The word, think(s) also means, “to ponder (meditate), to call to mind, remember, to visualize, to imagine, to devise or invent, to consider, to reason.”

From Proverbs 23:7, the word heart in this Scripture, from the Hebrew is nephesh (neh’-fesh) and it means, “the mind, mental, desire, soul (mind, will, emotions).
This same word heart in the Greek text is kardia (kar-dee’-ah). It’s where we get the word cardiac from and it means, “the heart, i.e., the thoughts or feelings---the mind (soul area, mind, will, emotions).

WORD PICTURES:
======================
When we ponder and consider something in our minds, we’re thinking in word pictures. If I were to say to you right now, “big white furry dog with a red coat on.” On the screen of your mind, you would see a big white furry dog wearing a red coat. If I said, the dog is now wearing a purple coat and hat, you would see the same big white furry dog, but instead of the red coat, you would now see him in a purple coat and purple hat. You wouldn’t see letters spelled out for this in your mind. You would see the picture. And it’s so automatic that you don’t have to strain in effort to try and see what I just said about the white dog. You were created with this ability by the loving hand of God.

If you say, you’re in debt and can’t get out, from out of your imagination you’re going to picture some form of bondage. You’ve heard people say, “I feel like I’m boxed in a corner and can’t move.” What does this mean? It means that you’re in bondage, and all bondage is based on deception---a lie. Jesus said, the devil is the father of all lies, there's no truth in him...”
John 8:44). You may picture the bondage you’re in because of financial debt as being tied up with ropes, boxed in a corner, held down with chains, etc. If this is what you see, then this is what you believe. And people will only act on what they believe to be true. That’s why we have more Christian hearer’s of the word in the Church than we have doer’s (James 1:22). You will act on what you believe to be true.

THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE:
=========================================
The bondage you see yourself in, regardless of what it may be is contrary to what God’s Word says. We’ve been redeemed from the curse of the law and made free in Christ Jesus (Gal.3:13). We’ve been delivered from the power of darkness and translated over into the Kingdom of His dear Son (Jesus) [Col.1:11-12). Jesus told us from John 8:31-32, “If you will continue in My Word, then are you My disciples indeed, 32-You shall know the truth (by revelation), and the truth shall make you free.”

I’m going to say it again, if God’s revelation truth makes us free, then the devil’s lies of deception will put you in bondage. You will be in a prison of deception where space is very limited and it hinders you from being able to move forward freely in the things of God. There is no freedom of movement. Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood to restore mankind and reconcile Him to God, and because of His finished work on Calvary, we’ve been given back FREE--DOM. We are now free to have dominion over our wrong thoughts and bring them into captivity and to the obedience of Christ to be destroyed by His anointing (2 Cor.10:4-5).

If you will think (meditate) on God’s Word and allow your imagination to print the picture of freedom from bondage on your mind (whatever it may be), it will begin to bring change to your life now. Going back to the bondage of debt since so many of God’s people are in debt to the world’s system (we all must strive to change this for the coming days ahead). You may see the word DEBT spelled out with actual wings on each side of it. We associate ‘wings’ with birds and we know that birds are free. Thus, we hear the saying, “free as a bird.” When you see DEBT spelled out with wings on either side, you could surmise that this is telling you that your debts are about to take flight, leaving you free to owe no man anything except to love him.

Or you might see yourself riding on a galloping horse across open fields where you experience being, free as the wind. 2 Cor.3:17, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” Or you may see yourself running along the beach at the ocean, free as the breeze that grazes the water and caresses your face. Different people see different pictures depicting freedom for different individual situations. The important thing is that you learn to visualize and use your God-given imagination in agreement with His Word for good. When you do so, you’re growing in hope, earnest expectation whereby, faith will then step up and say, ‘It’s mine. I have it now.’ This is what pleases God because you’re actively using all these things in agreement with His Word that produces and helps establish you in faith (Heb.11:6).

HOPE AND FAITH:

As we learn to think (meditate, ponder, consider) in our heart on God’s truth by His Logos Word and by revelation of the Logos Word, we will learn to see what God is trying to show us in our spirit’s. By purposely allowing our imagination to print a word picture on the screen of our mind from the Logos Word or Rhema Word, it’s another avenue God will use to let us know what it is He is speaking to us concerning our lives.

Also, the more you think (meditate) on the revelation given, the more you begin to see it in the spirit realm, and the more you believe it. This causes hope to arise in your heart and say, ‘this is possible---what I’m seeing can be.’ (whatever it may be). Continuing to meditate on the revelation from God, it begins to grow and expand in your spirit. You're becoming full of vision. Faith has been there all along but now it takes another step and hooks up with hope. You’ve moved into another dimension. Not only do you think and see possibility, but you’re beginning to believe it will happen. “Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for; and the evidence of things not seen” (Heb.11:1). But you do see it and you believe it, and you know that it’s your’s. It’s so real in your spirit that you can taste it, touch it, smell it, see it and hear it.

Finally, after a period of some time (depends on what you‘re believing God for, etc), you’re now at the place where the revelation (vision) has grown so BIG in your spirit, not only do you believe it will happen but now you know that you know that you know this thing must come to pass! Now with faith at a high, you’re ready to call those things that be not as though they were (Roms.4:17) calling them to come forth and manifest in this natural, tangible realm.

You’ve got to see it and believe it before you can receive it, according to the promise of the Word, whatever it is you’ve taken a faith-stand on. It’s God, your heavenly Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. So, we’re back to “seeing is believing,” that is, you see that it’s real. It’s real in your spirit first. You don’t get hold of it first tangibly before you believe it. The receiving comes after the believing and doing all that faith requires you to do.

IMAGINATION:
============================
In looking at the word Imagination, I want to point out to you that it comes from the root word, Image. “And God said, Let us make man in our own image, and in our likeness” (Gen.1:26). Image signifies something you see. If you look in the mirror it will reflect back to you your image. People see the image of God’s nature and character in us through Jesus Christ; because the Holy Spirit is continually shaping and molding us more into His image. We become, as it were, a picture that others can see, reflecting the image of Christ. Thus, people may say, “I see Jesus in you.” They’re seeing His image reflected through you and your life.

Imagination means, “the formation of a mental image, to see (a picture), creative power.” God is the Creator who saw creation in His imagination and spoke it into existence by His Word and by releasing His faith. We are His creation, made in His image and likeness; therefore, we also have creative power in the words that we speak. Not to create worlds and such but if you look at Mark 11:23-24 again, taking your time to read it and allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you, you will see that these Scriptures are talking about this same discussion.

Those Scriptures are not only talking about saying something, that is, speaking in faith to release creative power by your words in agreement with His. But those Scriptures talk about believing in the heart. This word heart here is also translated mind. So it is talking about seeing but it’s also talking about seeing that mountain move out of your way in the spirit realm. Seeing what you’re speaking forth in faith. Seeing the Lord Jesus Himself knock that mountain of debt right into never-never land and now you’re able to move freely in the things of God for your life.

So, the imagination is a good thing from God. Unfortunately, it can be used for either good or evil. If we’re allowing our imaginations to print negative pictures of unbelief on the screen of our minds that is against God’s Word, then this would not be considered good. We are either thinking in terms of faith or unbelief. Romans 14:23 says that “whatever is not of faith is sin.” Hebrews 2:12 says, “Take heed brethren, lest there be found in any of you an evil heart (mind) of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” Another term the Bible speaks of is “vain imaginations,” where a person would divise a plan to do evil.

Therefore, we’ve got to change our habitual negative word pictures and think on things that are pure, lovely and are praise worthy (Phil.4:8). We must allow the Holy Spirit to tear down and demolish these strong holds by the powerful two-edged sword of God’s Word (Heb.4:12). Our minds must be renewed to the Word, whereby we can know what is that good, and perfect and acceptable will of God for our lives (Romans 12:2). We need to know the revelatory truth of God’s Word so that truth can make us free. Free to totally give ourselves with abandon to the Lord Jesus Christ. He wants our all. He wants our hearts to be undivided and set on Him alone.

He came with His truth to set us all free from those prisons of the devil’s deception. “And whom the Son sets free is free indeed” (John 8:36). So, I ask you, what kind of things are you seeing on the screen of your God-given imagination? Are you looking at yourself and your life in terms of faith, according to God’s Word, or unbelief due to the lie of deception from the devil? I leave you with these words from Romans 10:10, “For with the heart (mind), man believe unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (deliverance, healing, wholeness).
