Femi was startled out of his reverie. How long had he been sitting before the monitor, just staring at it and not actually seeing anything, while waiting for the system to load up so he could start his work for the day, he had drifted off in his thoughts.
Staring at the dark screen with the boot icon flickering, he thought ‘I must do something about this computer, it’s running rather slow lately and I have to practically wait forever after each command!’
‘Not good enough!’

Suddenly his mind went back to what was going through his thoughts just a few minutes back, he still could not understand what actually happened yester night? How and why did he allow himself to fly off the handle like that?
As the scene replays in his mind, he becomes more appalled about it all and this makes him sink even deeper into the muddy depths of despair as he suddenly realizes that he’s lost a very good friend.

How did what seemed like a simple disagreement on opinions get out of hand like that?
How did the argument deteriorate to such a level that all those hurtful and hateful things were spewed out at each other?

How could I spit out such venom at someone that I have always claimed to love like a brother?
A friend that has stuck by me through thick and thin, the one who stood firm by my side when even so called family fled.
Why did he not back down too? At least, he could have done something to quench the blazing embers (Thinking about that, I must be honest, he backs down for me all too often…… Oh, oh! My stomach tightens in very painful hard knots as I realize that I have taken too many things for granted!)

‘I have always regarded myself as not such a bad person before I met with the Lord and I thought that even with Him in my life now, I have become totally humbled in so many ways but I realize now, after what happened yesterday night some old character traits are just lucking in the wings to take their cue on the stage of my life.

Just like his name connotes, Femi suddenly realizes that ….God truly loves him.

This is not a cliché but a statement of fact.
‘Where would I be today without the Lord?’ probably in a forgotten grave in some obscure burial place’

His meeting with Jesus changed so many things in his life including his mindset so, why not this one? Ehn?
Apostle Paul wrote about how his flesh and the spirit were at war all through his spiritual journey how eventually he ran a good race and won.

Is this how it’s going to be for me too? Always fighting for a balance and struggling with old nature, falling one day and rising the next?

He was so sure he had gotten a good grip on that particular emotion and could just direct his reigns accordingly and appropriately, alas, he’s been proved wrong!
'No! Not with my limited intellect and methods of strategizing'

Hopelessness crept in and a heavy weight drooped his shoulders as he sat there not knowing what to do and where to start from to put things right, all seems totally destroyed.

Suddenly, he heard it loud and clear, ‘whose are you?’ ‘Remember, God will make a way, where there seems to be no way’

Oh praise Jesus! I have no power of my own but I know He is more than able to help me stand and remain so.
