Come In, But Leave Your Way Out

There is but one way to Heaven and man must realize that they cannot go over, under, or around God to get there. To get there you must come in at the door. Jesus in St. John 3:3 so graciously answered Nicodemus, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. You see Nicodemus wanted to come in his way, but he had to give up his way if he wanted what Jesus came to give him. In other words Jesus was telling him you can come in, but leave your way out. Sure you have lived in the Earth and learned a few things, but don’t forget that what you learned did not cause you to come after Christ. It is what you did not know that pricked you inner man to know Him in a more significant way. You must be born of something else that you know not of and its not in your intellect, you must be born of the water and of his Spirit to obtain the missing link to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Four crucial beginning steps will begin our journey and they will take us back to the basics. There is but one way to God, one highway, one road, and one street.

1. Get on the right road, Isaiah 35:9
2. Clean up all the mess in your life, Leviticus 11:44
3. Come before God right, with proper reverence, Ecclesiastes 5:1
4. Follow peace with all men continually, Hebrews 12:14

If you try to go any other way, you are a thief and a robber. Why a thief? It is because of the deception involved, you steal secretly and stealthily to deceive others about your walk by trying to bargain your way into Christ. Pretending to right without being detected is deception but God knows you. He knows you are trying to gain advantage using others good will for your own gain and you do it regularly and think you are not stealing. You should leave your way out. You will try to make yourself the focus rather than God. You are robbing others of what they expect that you supposed to be. You deprive them of something due them, through your righteous living, expected, or desired when you put yourself in the place where only God is should be. You steal his glory; which you have no rights to. Now is the time to come in again and leave your way out.

Lets start on the right road; the way of Holiness. Isaiah 35:8; and an Highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. This Highway has a road parallel to it called Straight. It’s a right way and keeps a direct course, a straight line. Holiness has a direct link to God and is the first principle designed for man in the Garden of Eden with obedience.

If one will follow the road called Straight that is following the Highway of Holiness they have linked up with the Father and no one can break that link but them. God has so magnificently uniformly arranged your life in a straight line with his Word. When man will obey the Word solemnly he will free himself from the curves, bends, angles, or irregularities; namely consecutive avenues to sin. Sin takes people off on a one way street in a dark alley where nothing Holy can be found; only dead stuff. One should never think that they are all right on this Street called Sin; all the garbage in the alley must be left behind and they should get back on the Road called Straight that will align them back up with Holiness Highway.

The born again Christian must Repent, Revive, Renew, and Restore themselves daily with a cleaner called Sanctification. Return to the first state of purpose and wash clean their destiny. Leviticus 11:44; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves and ye shall be holy; for I am Holy; neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creeps upon the Earth. Sanctification is the cleanser God gave man to wash himself clean.

Sin has more than two legs; sometime it has four or more. These creeps creep in on you unaware; and what are you going to do? Will you be fair game and play with it or stay the course of Holiness?

Another Road is called reverence, having a lack of reverence for God or the Holy way is sin. A lack of proper respect or seriousness is shown to God when we come into his presence in his sanctuary. Many come into his presence and act as if God owes them something for being there. They say things that should not be spoken of when in his sanctuary. God already knows what you did, how you did it, where it was, and whom you did it with. Remember he is the creator of all Heaven and Earth. Everybody else you want to share it with should not be on your mind when you enter into his house.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-2; keep your feet when you go to the house of God, be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools for they consider not that they do evil; be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God; for God is in Heaven, and thou upon the Earth: therefore let thy words be few. This going off of the mouth can cause your flesh to sin. Your talk is just not that important, but you can make it more important than God. There is a way that seem right to man, but the end thereof are the ways of death; ceasing to live.

The first death takes place to the Spirit, for the Spirit of God will not live in an irreverent temple.

Secondly death to the soul; for the soul cannot breathe the proper air from a disobedient heart, so it recedes and lie dormant in man until the day of repentance. Except man will repent the soul says its benediction.

Thirdly the mind dies because whatever the sin; it cause you not to think righteously and except God intervenes you’ll lose your mind. The mind you once had to serve God says to the body, goodbye; I can’t take you anymore, I am suffering from malnutrition of the Word and I have no life sustaining substance left. All I have left is a skull with bones and no direction.

Then fourthly and finally death is brought to the once sanctified, cleansed, set apart for God’s exclusive use; body. Even your body has grown sick and tired of your sinful ways. The body gives up and say; “I’d rather be the dirt back in the earth from whence I came”. Even the body gets tired of housing a foolish mind, body, soul, and spirit that will not follow after its creator. Come before God reverently or your abode will be in Hell with eternal damnation.

The final parallel Road to the Highway called Straight is Peace. Peace keeps you driving even when you want to run into somebody just because. Hebrews 12:14; follow peace with all men, holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. On this Road called Peace is the peace; that surpass all understanding. Peace will keep on the Highway called Straight; it keeps you with a diligent walk and will not let you fall out of the grace of God. It keeps roots of bitterness from springing forth in our Holy life to trouble you. When the Christian do not possess the peace of God; trouble can cause them to defile their temple. Peace says goodbye to all the mess in the earth that will keep you out of Heaven. Peace gives leave to all the offenses that will cause a reproach against the Father and teaches one to observe all things; whatsoever God has spoken in his Word.

Death cannot come to anyone that has aligned themselves on the right roads to the Highway called Straight that travels from Earth to Heaven.
